Handmade traditional crib course

Techniques for the creation of a crafted crib.
The Nativity Scene is one of the most traditional icons of Italian culture.
Southern Italy in particular has a rich tradition in the creation of handmade cribs.
We would like to accompany you on this journey that will allow you to realize your craft crib following the lessons of our teacher.
Giuseppe Parisi is a young craftsman who for years has ventured into the decoration of tiles and cribs.
At the end of the course you can bring your Crib made during the course to your home.

The programme

Day 1
Arrival, accommodation.
Brie ng and planning of campus days.
Day 2
Notes on the history of the nativity scene and on the construction techniques.
Design and planning of the structure.
Presentation of materials and tools to be used.
Preparation of the work area.
Days 3
Gypsum technique, "progress of the structure", plastering.
Days 4
Paper pulp technique – progress and drafting of the fund.
Day 5
Creating details and accessories.
Day 6
Crib coloring – Accessories and vegetation positioning.
Nativity Completion
Day 7
Delivery of diplomas, refreshments, greetings and departure

The price of the course includes: theoretical and practical lessons, materials, certificates of
attendance, 7 nights in half board, a guided tour, evening entertainment, beach service,
final party.
