This is a story of civic consciousness, stubborn determination, genuine ambition. Stefano Caccavari 26 years old, citizen and farmer in a small lovely village called San Floro nearby Catanzaro beach, on March 19 will inaugurate the Mulinum pizzeria , with 2 different woodburning –oven,, one for pizza and bread, the other for cakes.
This is the last but not the only one victory of Stefano: all started when he discovered that most of the mills farmers used to attend to for grinding the wheat were disappearing; some of them were in ruins some of them have been sold to antiquities amateurs.
Therefore he risked to be obliged to go far away to get his wheat grinded.
He decided to find all over the european countries millstones to build a mill close to his cereals field but he needed money, a lot of money.
He looked for sponsors and supporters and in 2 months he collected using social network a big amount of money so that he could start the building, using the newest engineer techniques for bio sustainability.
Now the dream has come true and he contribute to a flow of on reverse immigration because 3 of his employers left London to became part of pizzeria staff.
The wheat they grind is truly wholewheat and organic and it is very good for cakes and bread, I personally tasted one chocolate cake and one marmalade cake made with this flour and they were both delicious and tasteful.
More than 200 bakers in Italy and some of them outside Italy too, they already order and use his flour, the Mulinum one.
